Speaking at "AI Просмажка" about AI — a sold-out panel discussion

Nov 20, 2025Krakow#tech #talk

I was invited by my friends to speak at AI Просмажка — a panel discussion organized by the VUS (Великий Український Стартовер) community in Warsaw. The format was a "roast" of AI: four speakers with different backgrounds critically examining the hottest topics around artificial intelligence, followed by networking at the bar.

The event sold out, which was a nice surprise for a niche topic in a city where the Ukrainian tech community is still forming.

What We Discussed

The discussion covered three main questions:

  1. Who has AI already replaced — and who's next? We talked about real cases of job displacement vs. the hype. My take: AI is changing roles more than eliminating them, but some positions are genuinely at risk.

  2. Will "vibe coding" replace developer teams? Can anyone now build a product with AI assistance? We debated the limits of AI-generated code and where human expertise remains essential.

  3. Why most companies implementing AI models still don't see profit. This was probably the most grounded part — discussing the gap between AI demos and production value.

The Speakers

I shared the stage with three other speakers:

  • Vladyslav Mashchenko — Technical Product Manager at Pitchbook, with background at Rozetka and IBM (1touch.io). Over 8 years in data privacy and cybersecurity.
  • Vlad Uvarov — AI Product Manager at Heineken, leading their AI Data-Driven Advisor platform across Europe and Latin America.
  • Oleksandr Yashchuk — Founder of TrackAI, Delivery Director at N-iX. Built and scaled teams of 100+ engineers, co-founded 3 startups.

The mix of product, engineering, and founder perspectives made for a balanced discussion rather than an echo chamber.

Takeaway

The next event should be "roasting" the audience too, asking lots of cool questions!

These smaller community events are often more valuable than big conferences. You actually get to have real conversations, challenge each other's views, and leave with something to think about — not just a bag of swag.
