Table Games in Krakow - Almost 2 Years of Board Gaming with IT Community

For almost two years I organized bi-weekly table games in Krakow. The first game was announced on January 14, 2024, and the last one was held on August 3, 2025. In total, we played around 40 sessions with an average of 15–20 people attending. At peak times, we had close to 30 people gathering in one place.

The Format

The workflow was straightforward: we'd gather at 4pm, start with 1–2 hours of a warmup game that works well with large groups - usually Codenames projected on the big screen. Then we'd break down by tables and play various games until late evening.

The Venue

Most sessions were held at Meeples Restobar (now Ribs House). I'm grateful to them for accommodating our groups - having 20–30 people show up every two weeks isn't easy to handle, but they made it work. Sometimes we'd play in different locations around Krakow or even outside the city for special occasions.

Looking Back

What started as a casual idea turned into a regular thing that brought together IT folks and friends from different circles. Some people became regulars, others dropped by occasionally - that mix kept each session interesting. Thank you to everyone who came over these almost two years. It was fun :)
